GutsyGal, founded by Jenny Bishop, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, provides health education and one-on-one health coaching. GutsyGal does not provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. Information you share with GutsyGal, including health and symptom information, is handled under this Privacy Policy.
GutsyGal is not a HIPAA-covered entity, so health information you choose to share with GutsyGal is not covered by HIPAA and is instead handled under this Privacy Policy. Your own medical providers remain your HIPAA-covered relationships, and their handling of your information is governed by their own notices.

Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how GutsyGal ("GutsyGal," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information. GutsyGal provides health education and one-on-one health coaching for perimenopausal and menopausal women, including women using GLP-1 medications, with a focus on gut and microbiome health.
This policy applies to information collected through our website, our forms and quizzes, our email communications, and our coaching relationships.
What we collect and how
We collect information that you provide directly to us. Depending on how you interact with GutsyGal, this may include:
- Contact details. Your name and email address, submitted through our website quiz and through the Self-Care Rx opt-in form.
- Booking and questionnaire responses. Information you provide when you book and complete the questionnaire for a Breakthrough Session.
- Coaching information (paying clients). Information needed to deliver coaching, including health and symptom information you choose to share, and microbiome test results.
- Payment information. When you pay for services, your payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number.
- Communications. Messages you send us and information you share in coaching sessions or through the client portal.
The specific data fields collected by each form may vary.
Health information
Some information you choose to share, including symptom information and microbiome test results, is sensitive health information. We treat this information with care and limit access to it to what is needed to provide coaching and education to you. As noted above, GutsyGal is not a HIPAA-covered entity, so this information is handled under this Privacy Policy rather than under HIPAA.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver the Self-Care Rx and other resources you request;
- Provide one-on-one health coaching and education;
- Schedule and conduct Breakthrough Sessions and coaching sessions;
- Order and share microbiome test results and, where applicable, physician-ordered lab testing;
- Recommend supplements through our dispensary;
- Process payments for services;
- Send emails you have opted into and respond to your inquiries;
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and services;
- Comply with legal obligations.
Legal basis and consent
Where required by law, we rely on your consent to collect and use your information, in particular for sending marketing email and for handling the health information you choose to share. We also process information as needed to perform our services for you and to meet our legal obligations. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us or, for marketing email, by using the unsubscribe options described below.
Marketing email and unsubscribe
We send marketing and educational email only to people who have opted in. Our email is sent through the GoHighLevel platform. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or by contacting us at hello@gutsygal.com. We may still send you non-marketing messages related to services you have requested or purchased, such as booking confirmations and coaching communications.
Sharing and third-party processors
We share personal information with the third-party service providers we use to operate GutsyGal. Each provider receives only the information needed to perform its function, and each handles your information under its own terms and privacy practices. The providers we use are:

Our website and forms may use cookies and similar technologies to function and to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services to you, to comply with our legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including relying on the security practices of the established service providers listed above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

GutsyGal operates in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
